Evi Olde Rikkert

Resident

Evi Olde Rikkert is a Dutch designer living in Antwerp. Her artistic work is an interplay between theory and practice, considering both art making and conversation as a method of study. Evi dreams about models of radical democracy.

During her residency, she therefore proposes to gradually place prototypes of tables with specific forms and inspirations in the common areas of the residency house, and test their potential by hanging out with friends and collaborators. ‘Tables’ is also the subject of the research project she is working on at the Antwerp Academy.

Evi (1994, The Netherlands) holds an MFA in Site-Specific Art from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and a BA in Fashion Design from Polimoda in Florence. She co-hosts the film club Multisub Club at shelter Progetto Arcobaleno in Florence. On Thursday mornings, you can find her serving soup at drop-in centre De Steenhouwer, located next door from MORPHO.
