About MORPHO
Founded in 2008, MORPHO is a non-profit organisation dedicated to artistic development. We give time, space and resources to artists by means of residencies and studios, with the aim of fostering a dynamic and sustainable context for artistic work. As a studio provider, we rent out workspaces in a growing number of buildings in and around the city of Antwerp. As an artist residency, we annually host around 20 residents from Belgium and abroad whom we support in their projects and trajectories. The programme consists of weekly collective sessions in an environment that encourages dialogue and experimentation.
About SAHA
SAHA is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation established in 2011 in Turkey. The autonomy and sustainability of SAHA is secured through a model that provides collective funding through corporate and individual supporters, and self-government. SAHA’s mission is to support contemporary art from Turkey through collaborations and partnerships with local and international arts institutions on three domains: the commission and production of artworks; production of publications and artist’s books; and artistic or curatorial residency and research.
Aiming to improve the infrastructure of artists, curators, critics, and art initiatives from Turkey and to enhance their dialogue and visibility within global networks, SAHA has supports artists, curators, and art writers from Turkey in different projects around the world while granting Sustainability Funds to several independent art initiatives and publication projects across Turkey. Since 2019, SAHA also operates a residency programme, namely SAHA Studio in Istanbul that provides artists, curators, and writers a short-term studio space, resources, and mentorship to foster artistic production further with international networking opportunities.
While international artists and curators who come to Istanbul for research are hosted at SAHA Residency in Galata, SAHA supports the participation of artists and curators from Turkey in the residency programmes of internationally acclaimed institutions abroad. SAHA has ongoing partnerships with Tate St. Ives, ARTWORKS in Athens, Slavs and Tatars Residency in Berlin, Delfina Foundation in London, Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, and ISCP in New York for artist-in-residency programmes.
